So I'm still working, making more money than ever. It feels great to be supporting myself. I've also made some other positive changes to improve my health and strengthen my will. I recommend full-time employment to anyone out there who is feeling angry and mistreated. Don't make excuses for your condition, just go out there and try. I didn't think I'd ever work again after ten years unemployed, but NOW it's like I never left the workplace. Navigate that one, you broadcasting bums.
The building where I reside has not yet been sold. I think they put it up for sale during the excitement about the Olympics returning to Vancouver. Looks like they jumped the gun on that one. Anyway, I'm still only a ten minute stroll from my warehouse and paying very cheap rent. By the way, who was that creepy, leering couple that wanted a snapshot of my building's front door with the 'For Sale' sign in front? Were they trying to shame me or something? Talk about having no life. I should have told them to go home and pay their rent. I bet it's three times what I pay, and jerks like those two deserve it.
And as long as CNN and CBC and all the news channels - according to my boring neighbour - want to start up a race war by their warped coverage of the events in Seattle and Portland, I think it's worth mentioning that my employer is an Asian gentleman, probably originally from Hong Kong. He clearly did not let my race stand in the way of my employment, nor did I have any problem with his race. I recall how I was greeted by the Chinese workers at the Christmas party last year. They called me 'brother'. I guess I felt the same about them. Indeed, workers who share the same job are a kind of family, in spite of any outward appearances to the contrary.
I wanted to add another note about the importance of keeping the historic record accurate. If you forget the past, it repeats itself. I forgot my music from 2007, for instance. Germany forgot they lost World War One. And what do you think will happen if America forgets its Civil War? On the other hand, maybe your evil broadcasters are setting us up for another even bloodier one. I sure wouldn't put it past them.
The homeless camp has moved directly across from my place of employment. It has a sign up complaining about how we're trespassing on their land or something. I don't know, I often worked with natives at construction sites. They're strong and could get a steady job if they want. It's up to them. Look at Cher. She overcame her harsh upbringing to be able to sing about it on TV. Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves was one of the earliest songs I remember liking when I heard it on the radio. I was amazed to see her sing it. (Of course, I was only six years old.)
Speaking of Cher, I recently purchased a DVD collection of the old Sonny and Cher Show. I used to watch this show on the old black-and-white with my eldest brother Bill and his wife Maureen way back in the early 1970's. Bill's gone now. He died on May 31 this year. He had no bad habits, lived his life flawlessly, but it didn't save him. He may have inherited my Polish grandfather's heart condition. He was kind of short though, well under six feet, like my grandfather, and even vaguely resembled Sonny Bono. (Come to think of it, his wife looked a little like Cher, too, at the time.) Since the rest of the males in my family are over six feet tall, I can't help but hope that his height and heart were genetically entwined.
I haven't given your broadcasters much to plagiarize since I got back in the workplace in November last year. Oh, and I rewrote another old hit but I didn't post it back to YouTube yet.
As for your broadcasters without my blogs, they're not very appealing, are they? All they know how to do is make everyone fear and hate each other. Maybe one day you'll learn to shun them as I do - if only so you can smile again under your ridiculous surgical mask. I'm glad I don't have too much longer to share this planet with such silly 'germophobes'. You get nothing out of this life if you're too afraid to live it. Stay six feet apart and safe? Sure, safe... and childless! In fact, germs, like work, are unpleasant things we have to face or die. The government is usually wrong about them. For instance, when I was a baby I was bottle fed because my mother had been told it was safer than breast milk. However, without the exposure to her 'germs' through her milk, I developed rather bad allergies that took until only recently to overcome. So did millions of others from my ill informed generation. Please think about this. You have important health reasons for rejecting these new sterility laws. Don't just let them decide it for you. What are we, slaves? Insist upon a public referendum before making any permanent changes.
