4:03-4:30pm. I'm back again to try to make up for being away all week. Sorry, but I was too deep into the housework. By the way, one of my cotenants told me about the 'redemption program' in jail. He thought I'd gone through it. But I told him that I've never been to jail or arrested or anything. I told him that it might be rare for someone like that to be sharing his roof. No, I'm from Ottawa - or at least the Ottawa area. It's all pretty middle-class there, all government people. I have two siblings that rose pretty high in the Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade, so I have upper-middle-class potential, I guess. Of course, they want nothing to do with this whole nasty public affair and the media's attempts to ruin my name. I don't blame them. So to that fool who tried to smack me down with that line about 'baked bitch,': I've never been arrested or incarcerated in my life. I've had jobs with the feds, the Ontario provs, and with the local non-profits. And AC-DC stole my music for stupid fuckers like you, I guess. But you needed me to write it for them.
Hey, media, why aren't more people grateful for my writing efforts that you showed off with so much on the TV and radio? Did they think they were getting my music from someone else? Did they think they owed their thanks for my backbreaking recordings to the pricks who stole them? Why can't they realize that they came to me for my music? Why can't all those millions of YouTube subscribers figure out that it was their response to my song posts that made all these radio bands need to steal my songs? Why can't comedy fans figure out that their comedy stars needed my writing? They know how to be stars, but not how to write. Each time you thought you were going to them for a laugh, you were coming back to me for a laugh. Each time you thought you were going to their bands for a song, you were coming to me for a song. And you thanked me by constantly insulting me with your ongoing support for the fraud with my work. They made you think you were going to Blue Rodeo to escape Nickelback's embarrassment in 2017, but you were coming back to me for more of my music. And now what do they want to do?
Hey, did you hear about that new podcast? Now you can get the real scoop on those news stories. I wonder what it will be. Is it supposed to be going to someone else for the news to get a wider, clearer picture? Then why is it being advertised on a corporate radio station? Oh, I see, it belongs to a corporation. Is that objective? Well, they have a chance to start out clean with the correct information about whole years of commercial TV broadcasts and radio broadcasts if they look through this account. I won't hold my breath waiting, though. You can't blame me.
If you want to know how Hitler came up with the idea of gassing undesirables, maybe it was from having to rub shoulders with them too much in his youth. Maybe he would have pitied them if he'd been allowed to distance himself from them a little more. But they just threw him in with the bums and the creeps, and left him there to read Nietzsche. Great way to cause a disaster, putting a man with that kind of oratory in such misery. Maybe they wanted him to turn out like he did, so he could eliminate problem people for them. Maybe now they want someone like that to start World War Three so they can really get down to business. But I have a middle-class attitude about the unemployed. I don't like them anymore than perhaps you. But this is just for their inability to face the reality of life in a capitalist country; I don't think it damns them. I think that the rich are damned. And they felt uneasy about what it said in the Bible about them, so they paid a scholar (John Calvin) to write a bunch of intellectual theological gobbledygook to make them believe they're saved by their money.
1:43pm. Maybe I should write a little more about how AC-DC sucks. I'm sure your broadcasters have been telling you just the opposite for their evil sponsors. Back when I was a dumb teenager, I liked AC-DC for about five minutes. It was back when I thought it was cool to sound dumb in your music. Being dumb is always cool in school. But I quickly grew out of that and began pining for deeper, more intelligent music. I thought I found it at the time with non-commercial choices of old bands from previous decades, but that eventually turned into the 'classic rock' format, which is less dumb but a lot more greedy. You know, besides being physically attacked over this fucking band that was called a dinosaur band in 1993, I have good reasons for disliking them. They are not musically stimulating enough for me, but I hate their character even more. Did you never think of how odd it is to be sitting there with your teenaged son and listening to the same band you heard as a teenager? Why is this band still in business after all those decades? Don't you think they're greedy? Don't you think five years or so of being at the top of such a high paying field is enough? It was enough for the Beatles. It was enough for the Flintstones. What have we had in all the decades since? AC-DC and the Simpsons? Why do they need to stay in the limelight forever? Why won't they clear the stage for new talent? Why don't they give your son a musician who can belong to his own time instead of one he has to share with you? New talent comes to this library and talks to you all the time about this topic. New and starving talent grows into feeble old age as it waits for you to show it the same consideration that you always want to show stars you already turned into zillionaires in the last fifty years.
We live in a crime culture, and if there is any hope here, it resides with cases like my own. My survival online is owing to the fact that our ruling criminals have instituted a property protection system that is more honest than they are. The biggest problem the business has with my copyright protection is that it works. All they can do is try to drive me to suicide because they lack the power to kill me outright. All they can do is tell more lies to cover up their last lies because they can't force me to lie for them. One thing I know for sure, they won't help you unless they can corrupt you somehow. And if you want to know a bit more depth on public assistance programs, I'd say they are meant to invest in criminals. Criminals offer hope that they will one day get rich and pour their loot into the public treasury. Their only mistake was getting caught, but they demonstrated their potential by committing their crimes. On the other hand, if you're a crime victim like myself, then public assistance is not meant for you: you are supposed to die of starvation for not being enough of a criminal. I see it all very clearly now.
11:16am. I'm not sure I'm any worse off by being here instead of 'with the stars.' I don't make much money, but at least it's honest pay for honest work. I consider myself better off to make less money by not having to trade away my immortal soul. I don't have a million friends, but I know who my friends are: they are the ones who help me when I need it. Rich stars can't trust anybody - and maybe they don't deserve to trust others when they spend their whole careers lying to us about their talent.
I've been doing a lot of good effective cleaning in my building. It's the kind of attention that a house like ours doesn't normally receive, since the prevailing attitude is to let sloth do away with the 'slothful.' I've made before and after shots, just in case I need to back my statements up with videos on this topic - you know, as so often happens, after someone tells you I'm lying about it. I'm pleased to say that I'm winning the war against my six-legged foes, now that I've been given permission to extend my assaults past the boundaries of my room.
The only thing I don't like about my current life is that I don't fit in very well with TV lovers. I belong with artists. Right now, people see me in my room, lying on my bed almost catatonic, and think I'm not having a good time. But what's going on in my mind at moments like that is better than TV and the radio put together. I don't need the TV to dictate my life. I don't need it to tell me what kind of a day it was; I can see that for myself. I don't need it to tell me to cut my hair now because of the fucking times. I cut my hair when I decide that it's getting too long and unmanageable, not because of some mind controlling trend that offers some transparent power trip from being in a big trendy crowd. Fuck the big trendy crowd. It depends on original thinkers like me to provide its favorite content, but it expects everyone to depend on the TV like it does. I wrote Primetime Polly to express how tyrannical TV's hold is on schoolchildren. I didn't need to be funny with it, but just to illustrate a point. Tina Fey's the one who needed to be funny with it - her and her nasty corporate supporters who feared my writing and how it well it mocked them.
Do you want to talk about AC-DC? Please do it when I'm not in your company. They stole my music. They're at the top of my offender's list because of their greedy name, which starts with the greediest letters for a name that will be organized alphabetically with other band names. Now they can top my offender's list with their greedy name because they stole my music. And bands that steal music are assholes. And if they tricked you out of your trust, you should want to kick the shit out of them now instead of remembering them with fondness. And is that the band that was supposed to play in Vancouver in 2015? Who stole that blog since then? Are they friends with fraud bands like AC-DC? Did you know I was attacked by a pit bull and thrown to the fucking ground over that goddamn boneheaded band? Maybe you can forget about it because it wasn't your blood on the sidewalk that day.
Did you go to see AC-DC with your son? Well, maybe I'd have had a son of my own by now if bands like that weren't always stealing my rock and the women that go with it. So I have no trouble shitting on that fond memory for you. Too bad your TV and radio won't let you have decent memories.
All the same, I don't pity myself for not being as big a star as my songs and blogs because the TV and radio have shown me how horrible they truly are so that I know I'm better off without them. I feel safer in the work force, making my money honestly, than I would with all their dirty crime loot. I know who my friends are because I'm not rich. And I can still have fun with my creative activities because some parasite hasn't turned it all into his serious business yet. If you need to pity someone, pity commercial broadcasting's hapless and hopeless dependents. The only way they could ever come close to living my real life is in a video game.
